The Luxury Resort in Costa Rica that loves Social Media: JW Marriott Guanacaste Resort & Spa
This week we had a great opportunity to stay at the JW Marriott Guanacaste Resort & Spa (@JWCostaRica); and besides all the amazing things that we wan to share with you, we want to highlight some things that we wouldn’t imagine from a Luxury Hotel in Costa Rica, Central America or any place.
First of all, the impressive amount of people taking pictures of every detail of the hotel. From architecture to decoration to its buffet. But you would say that’s normal in any place, and you’re right. But the cool part, it’s that it seems that the entire Hotel staff enjoys the fact that all guests take pictures of everything. They even say: “the first day, the sunset caught everybody off guard. But the next day, they’re all ready from 5:00 pm to take all the pictures they can”.
(I haven’t mentioned, but the sunset here is one of the best and unique experiences you’ve ever had in a Resort in the Pacific of Costa Rica).
And if you’ve ever try to take some pictures in some hotels, you’d remember the staff faces making you feel you’re taking illegal pictures. But that’s not the case in this JW Marriot. Despite it’s luxury and exclusivity, the staff is okay with pictures.
Second, it seems that it’s administration team is going to promote more actively among their guest, to share all these pictures online. They told us that in the following days, they’ll share all their Social Media URLs with their guests, in order to let them comment and post pictures and videos about their experience in the Hotel.
Some tools to be used by them include: Flickr, Twitter and Facebook, as well as a blog.
Why are they doing this? Because this team trusts they have the Best Luxury Hotel, Resort & Spa in Costa Rica, and they defend this idea with so much confidence that they know that guests’ experience will ignite the right Buzz (Word of Mouth) around this Hotel in Guanacaste.
